A Playboy Bunny and UCLA discloses a very long journey of overcoming obstacles and learning to forgive. Born on a backwoods farm in Tennessee, the protagonist survived an abusive father. An older sister called her “Little Miss Ugly Face” and made her cry. In Indianapolis, her high school principal labeled her as “uneducable and non-college material.” Issues of race, civil rights, the American caste system, God and religion are questioned. It’s a story of people bonding and enjoying life, regardless of race and background. Along the way: the protagonist became a Bunny in the Hollywood Club. She worked as a topless dancer. She made the Dean’s List at New York University and cheerfully graduated from UCLA. At times tears flowed like a river, but amusing situations and laughter made the journey an adventure.
